YELLOW VESTS GATHER TO PROTEST IN PARIS WEEK 177 SATURDAY 4/2/2022
It was an optimistic Marine Le Pen campaigning in the Alsace region of France on Friday. Le Pen, the National Rally candidate for President, saying there is a "great dynamic" on the ground in her favor.
She believes that with just over a week to go before the first round of voting many of the French are beginning to realize that Emmanuel Macron's re-election is not a foregone conclusion.
Le Pen indicating that the old "demonization" of her as "far-right" will not work this time around.
She says Macron has to answer for a record she calls "deplorable" when it comes to crime, immigration and unemployment.

Back to politics in France and Emmanuel Macron speaking late this afternoon to a crowd at an arena in the western suburbs of Paris.
This is Macron's first political speech with his acknowledgement of a rough five years since the last election. Economic promises dropped on the table including the notion of an up to six thousand euro (6631.80 US dollar) bonus to increase purchasing power for consumers.
He also talked about a minimum pension for a "full career" of 1100 euros (1215.83 US dollars) a month.
Macron spoke in the arena but there were people protesting outside it with fences and tight security....
For now that's the story of France and the Yellow Vests for this week.
