More crime and violence in the news this week in France and fear of violence today.    Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin getting the Prefect of Police in Paris to ban a pro-Palestinian demonstration today.



It was feared that the protest in the midst of the conflict in Israel would descend into violence.  



The protest held anyway with police firing tear gas....

Around three thousand protesters estimated in Paris and 22,000 nationwide by the government participating in anti-Israel protests.



The crime and violence issue a sensitive one for incumbent President Emmanuel Macron just 11 months before the election.

Today the Yellow Vests in France protesting the new "Global Security" law with this demonstration in Saint-Dizier....
