I used to watch him a lot on Saturday nights with Mary Tyler Moore or as the Captain of the "Love Boat" Gavin MacLeod is dead at the age of 90.
I ended up working as an adult in a TV newsroom the real kind but the flavor of the kind depicted on "Mary Tyler Moore Show" seemed to play out at times.
Gavin MacLeod talks about his character Murray Slaughter and an episode where he was infatuated with Mary...
I guess I was too drunk as a teenager to get a good message out of that episode. I could have used it back then.
Gavin had identification with Christianity as well and I think I will share this video where he gets into that....
I was into war history and war movies in my youth not mature enough to understand the harsh realities of battlefields.
They are places where God's rules seem to be broken.
I've come to realize it isn't just the killing thing. It's also the looting (stealing) and the prostitution and rape (adultery) that come to mind.
God's Top Ten List gets butt wiped in wartime situations.
