MIKE PENCE LINES UP ALLIES, A PRECURSOR TO A POSSIBLE RUN FOR PRESIDENT IN 2024
Mike Pence the "Conservative Christian" ultimately controlled by the corporations when legislation to protect gay marriage dissenters emerged in Indiana then Governor Mike Pence opposing it in lockstep with corporate giants and the NCAA.
Another governor who backed down to protection for objectors to gay marriage was Governor Asa Hutchinson of Arkansas. Who was the "real governor of Arkansas? Doug McMillon of Walmart objecting to the legislation. Hutchinson in the news again this week with his veto of legislation to stop doctors from giving gender changing treatments to children under the age of 18.
The legislators overrode his video. It's now going to the courts.
Asa Hutchinson's alma mater is the school mentioned in the last song video. "BJ" in the song standing for "Bob Jones University" which had a ban on interracial dating alluded to in Steve Taylor's song. That very conservative religious school known as a stop for Republicans on the road to the White House.
Hutchinson talking "diversity" and such with Tucker Carlson defending his veto this week. Heck, does he want to change the name of his alma mater to:
"Roberta Jones University"

Now the story of the "Alberta Wall" the three layers of fencing erected around Grace Life Church just outside the city limits of Edmonton in Canada.
Its the coronavirus crackdown enforced by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and a private security company.
The latest move to make an example out of the church after putting its pastor in prison for more than 30 days did not stop worship services in violation of coronavirus restrictions imposed in what is often called Canada's "most conservative province".
At one time the "Conservative Christian" Premier of Alberta William Aberhart was nicknamed "Bible Bill" who even preached on the radio on his way to politics...ALBERTA PREMIER WILLIAM ABERHART ("BIBLE BILL")

On Thursday Ammon Bundy decided to "test the waters" at Idaho's State Capitol after a judge dismissed one of two charges against him going back to when he was arrested last August.
The judge noting that there was a lack of authority to order his arrest in the first place.
Well Ammon Bundy found himself arrested twice all the time asking:
"By whose authority"
and not getting a good, legal and valid answer. At the time of his second arrest the Idaho State Police officer putting the cuffs on Blake Higley quoted as saying to Bundy:
"I don't need any authority"

REMEMBERING ACTOR JAMES HAMPTON
James Hampton passed away this week at age of 84 he was part of the cast of the 1960's television show "F Troop" among other things. Heck Hampton even guest hosted "The Tonight Show" back in the day.

PERSECUTION AND FORGIVENESS
It was Holocaust Remembrance Day this week and I couldn't think of what to do with it till I came to today and encountered this video with words about suffering and forgiveness.
Those who suffer for doing what's right suffer today in their own ways like Pastor James Coates in Canada doing over 30 days in a maximum security prison for conducting worship services and Ammon Bundy who has been tortured in prison on numerous occasions including recently in Boise, Idaho but this very special story comes out of the Holocaust from a concentration camp survivor who went there for hiding Jews from the Nazis.
The suffering of the current tyranny is pretty "smiley faced" by comparison but we never know when it might take a darker turn...
"we can accept suffering as a part of God's plan for this world. When I was in concentration camp, one of the most terrible things I had to go through was that they stripped us of all our clothing and we had to stand.
The first time was the worst, I said: 'Betsy I can not bear this' And suddenly it was as if I saw Jesus at the cross. And the Bible tells 'They took his garments". He hung there naked.
And I knew He hanged there for me. For my sins. And in my suffering I understood a fraction of the suffering of Jesus Christ and it made me so thankful that I could bear my suffering....(begins at :50 into the video)
...It was some time ago that I was in Berlin. And there came a man to me and said: 'Ah Miss Ten Boom I am glad to see you. Don't you know me?' Suddenly I saw 'that man' that was one of the most cruel overseers, guards in concentration camp.
And that man said 'I am now Christian, I found the Lord Jesus. I read my Bible and I know that there is forgiveness for all the sins of the whole world. Also for my sins. I have forgiveness for the cruelties I have done. But then I have asked God's Grace for a opportunity that I could ask one of my very victims forgiveness.
And Fraulein Ten Boom. Once and you're forgiven. Will you forgive me?'
And I could not. I remember the suffering of my dying sister through him.
But when I saw I could not forgive suddenly I knew I myself had no forgiveness.
Do you know that Jesus had said that? 'When you do not forgive those who have sinned against you, My Heavenly Father will not forgive you your sins'"...(Starting at 3:00 into the video)

We face a challenge in the midst of this tyranny if we are sober and sane enough to realize we are living under a tyranny that is harming us and others. I know without a doubt that I must live by a higher standard than I am inclined not to live by.

Tonight word that Alberta Premier Jason Kenney told the media that any protesters outside the church tomorrow should respect:
"sanctity of life"
by wearing masks. He expressed fear that any mass protest and church service outside the fenced perimeter of the church could:
"lead to a super spreader event"
