Mike Pence the "Conservative Christian" ultimately controlled by the corporations when legislation to protect gay marriage dissenters emerged in Indiana then Governor Mike Pence opposing it in lockstep with corporate giants and the NCAA.
Another governor who backed down to protection for objectors to gay marriage was Governor Asa Hutchinson of Arkansas. Who was the "real governor of Arkansas? Doug McMillon of Walmart objecting to the legislation. Hutchinson in the news again this week with his veto of legislation to stop doctors from giving gender changing treatments to children under the age of 18.
The legislators overrode his video. It's now going to the courts.
Asa Hutchinson's alma mater is the school mentioned in the last song video. "BJ" in the song standing for "Bob Jones University" which had a ban on interracial dating alluded to in Steve Taylor's song. That very conservative religious school known as a stop for Republicans on the road to the White House.
Hutchinson talking "diversity" and such with Tucker Carlson defending his veto this week. Heck, does he want to change the name of his alma mater to:
