An incident between Israel and Syria tonight when a Syrian air defense missile was fired to respond to a threatening Israeli aircraft.
The missile did not hit the Israeli warplane but instead went into Israeli territory striking south of Jerusalem. Israeli warning sirens activated with residents reporting the sound of explosions.
