The focus today in Paris for protesters the RIC (Citizen Initiative Referendum). The right of the citizens to initiate issues for a vote has been on the table since the early days of the Yellow Vests.
The government of President Emmanuel Macron had an agenda going into the coronavirus situation and it still does.
Minister of the Economy Bruno Le Maire says that the pension reform which will drastically alter the retirement systems for French workers consolidating them to cut costs is still very much on the mind of the government.
Le Maire sees that issue on the horizon after the coronavirus has passed. He spoke to BFM-TV today.
Le Maire also sees the possibility of Marine Le Pen winning election next year as President of France but he is pushing for a fight to stop that.
