24-year-old Ryan English has been charged with the attempted assassination of US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant.
English taken into custody on the grounds of the US Capitol on charges of carrying a dangerous weapon back in January.
He was found with two Molotov cocktail firebombs and a knife according to authorities.
