Macron taking questions from prominent opponents like CGT trade union leader Sophie Binet and even an internet influencer.
Also, the questions of average citizens included in the mix.
In his opening statement Macron talking about Ukraine and Gaza.
He denied seeking World War Three in regard to Ukraine. His opposition to Russia couched in terms of defending Ukraine.
Macron speaking of sanctions against Russia if it does not agree to stop fighting sanctions coordinated with the US and European countries.
When it came to Gaza there was sharp criticism of Israel's conduct of the war drawing rebukes from Israeli officials.
But Macron said the United States had the ultimate ability to change Israel's policy since it supplied weapons to Israel.
On domestic matters Macron rejecting the notion of a referendum on pensions his imposition of a new retirement age of 64 very controversial. On the assisted death issue Macron suggesting a possible referendum after the National Assembly and Senate have had time to work on the issue.

This week 76-year-old actor Gerard Depardieu given an 18-month suspended sentence for sexual assaults involving groping incidents with women on movie sets.
Reaction very sharp from 90-year-old French screen legend Brigitte Bardot.
Bardot speaking of the #MeToo convictions of Depardieu and another actor Nicolas Bedos she said:
"And those who have talent who put their hand on a girl's buttocks are thrown back into the ass-of-the-pit.
We could at least let them continue to live. They can no longer live. I think that after what happened to them they won't find much work"
Bardot also offered her assessment of feminism as a man-hating philosophy saying in part:
