Israel's concerns about Iran's nuclear program and the Biden Administration's diplomatic moves to coax Iran back into the JCPOA nuclear deal of 2015 very much on the agenda this week when Israel's Foreign Minister Yair Lapid visited Washington.
The US says diplomacy is running out of time and "other options" have been suggested by President Biden but direct military action by Israel is believed by many experts to require US "bunker busting" bomb technology. Also needed the use of US military bases near Iran.
But the US had a concern for Israel that it brought up. That's Israel's close economic ties with China and the "risks to our shared national security interests" as the US sees it.
