OREGON STANDOFF: EVIDENCE HEARINGS MOVE ON FOR FBI AGENT ACCUSED OF LYING ABOUT SHOOTING AT LAVOY FINICUM
"He won't spend one night in a jail cell"
Ammon Bundy weighs in on "Facebook" about the case of FBI Agent W. Joseph Astarita 5/22/2018
Ammon Bundy started a conversation on Facebook Tuesday with his post about the hearings going on this week in Portland and replied that he doesn't expect W. Joseph Astarita to do any jail time.
The FBI agent is accused of lying about his actions January 26, 2016, not of attempting to murder LaVoy Finicum or injuring Ryan Bundy who apparently has inside him shrapnel from one of Astarita's bullets.
The killers of LaVoy were members of the Oregon State Police, who agreed to the FBI's stipulation to break their own policy of always wearing body cameras.
Ammon Bundy remarked in his post noting defense lawyer Rob Cary's dissing of the "bad video" from the air of what happened that we could have had better video if the OSP hadn't bowed down to the FBI and not used their body cams.
Meanwhile, a battery of lawyers continued their attempts Wednesday (May 23rd) to tear down experts hired by the prosecution to bolster their case against the FBI agent.
One government animation expert, Toby Terpstra, admitted that his 3-D animation was nine frames or 3/10 of a second inaccurate. A federal prosecutor asked if Terpstra would like to file a supplemental report correcting the error and he said yes.
The defense lawyers kept bringing up the grainy nature of the FBI drone video shot over the scene but Terpstra said the video helps to accurately locate all the people on the ground at the time of the shooting.
Another thing that the FBI agent's lawyers tried to use to discredit the 3-D animation was the statement from a detective on scene that LaVoy Finicum's truck settled into the snow 3 to 4 inches in the hours following the shooting but Terpstra said he relied on pictures of the truck close to the time of the shooting.

(MORE TO COME)
I would think that there would be an admission of quilt when the FBI told OSP not to use their BC's. Our whole FBI system of Justice has fallen apart.
