ITALY BREAKING:  ATTEMPT TO FORM OUTSIDER GOVERNMENT DROPPED DUE TO OPPOSITION OF THE ITALIAN PRESIDENT

Giuseppe Conte dropped his bid to form a new government comprising the Five Star Movement and League parties after he was rebuffed by the Uniparty President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella.

Mattarella objected to the appointment of Paolo Savona as economy minister, according to the Italian news agency ANSA.  Mattarella is a former politician of the Uniparty "Left" in Italy.

Italy now faces the prospect of a new general election,

Mattarella said in part:  "The uncertainty about our position in the euro has alarmed Italian and foreign investors who have invested in our bonds and companies...."

I guess one could sing "EU UBER ALLES" after reading that.

The insiders cannot accept an outsider government in Europe.

In the last election the combination of Five Star and League picked up 50 percent of the popular vote and a majority in both houses of parliament,
