The English nationalist anti-Muslim activist Tommy Robinson (founder of the English Defence League) was standing outside a courthouse where British Muslims were being tried on sex abuse (grooming) charges yesterday in Leeds.
He was chatting with friends and fellow activists. He confronted two of the defendants shouting "How do you feel about the verdict?" as they entered the courthouse an hour before his arrest.
When the police surrounded him to take him away they said Robinson was in "breach of the peace".
He was taken into court and ordered jailed for 13 months.
In addition, media in the UK were prohibited from reporting the news of his jail sentence.
