A SUNDAY NEWS SUMMARY BEGINS TO POST AT MIDNIGHT EASTERN US TIME SATURDAY NIGHT.

                THE INFLATION REPORT:

In the month of March a 3.3 percent inflation rate in the USA but here are some prices that took an even bigger jump at Walmart recently:

1.  A 12 ounce jar of medium roast coffee jumped from 7 dollars 42 cents to 8 dollars 88 cents (19.7 percent higher).

2.   A package of 36 "Fun Pops" freezer pops rising from 2 dollars 98 cents to 3 dollars 27 cents (9.7 percent higher).

There's more to higher prices than gasoline.

That bit of history reminds me of the many faces out there telling us what they think each day.  In the end Jim Jones in Guyana turned out to be a Marxist-Leninist. 

For those of you in Rio Linda "Reverend Jim Jones" was a Communist who pretended to be a Protestant follower of Jesus.

Jones called the "Peoples Temple" a "Marxist-Leninist organization" in the final audio tape as the deadly Kool Aid was mixed and dispensed.

So here's a list of "voices" I encounter in the course of a week via social media:

Those folks and others are inputs into my life and I do not blindly follow them agree with everything they say etc. but I do pay attention to what they share.

Blindly following other human beings could have dangerous consequences IMHO.

And another thing descending into anger or resentment of these folks even though some may push at buttons with their over-the-top rhetoric is a dead end.

                                  REMEMBERING DAD

Wow there's been a lot in this week the passing of my father he loved sports when the $$$$ just wasn't in it.

He came out of a river town (Sunbury, PA) where he was a high school basketball star, then went to work in a factory and played basketball games in the "Industrial League" back in the 1950's here in York.

In those days the NFL players would come to town to play basketball in the off season my dad got to play basketball against the "Baltimore Colts".

                 I READ THIS BEFORE I FELL TO SLEEP LAST NIGHT:
