Regardless of what President Donald Trump says as he talks to keep stocks higher and or gasoline prices lower I see signs of a 'long war'.
First the sudden notification by my wife's employer that her 401K funds were moving into a place where they were guaranteed two percent growth. In other words. the 401K funds moved out of the stock market.
Also a sudden notification this week from one of my credit cards an unexpected offer of a low interest rate of .9 percent for the next six months.
A low-interest loan offer in essence to tide folks over through stock market losses and a higher cost of living.
Get your money to safe harbors folks.
I am sending that message out in all directions including my children.

A guy from Philly I'll call Joe drove up to where I was working the other week in his U-Haul (his car broke down) to offer me some chocolate candy.
Joe is a 'man of color' and we talked a bit about racism and racial discrimination along with our memories of Philadelphia.
But he came out and said something the radio preachers said back in the 1970's:
"Martin Luther King was a Commie"
The FBI and J. Edgar Hoover certainly got a lot of evidence against MLK with all its spying on his sexual activities alongside the political ones using their usual methods of audio surveillance and informants etc. etc.
But in the 1970's a federal judge sealed materials about Dr. King for 50 years that time is running out.
More revelations about MLK's sexual activities likely to emerge next year from all those FBI surveillance files.
I have done my own reading-research on MLK have my own ideas they will wait.
But listening to the preaching of Dr. Billy Graham who was friends with Dr. King especially close in the 1950's Reverend Graham likes to remind people that both Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his father Martin Luther King Sr. preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
So, we will wait to this time next year for that situation to unfold and whether it will lead to similar consequences for MLK as those for Cesar Chavez...
