The conference co-sponsored by France and Saudi Arabia set for the United Nations in New York this Monday to recognize a Palestinian state.

It's strongly opposed by Israel and the United States which cancelled diplomatic visas for Palestinian officials to attend the UN General Assembly now underway in New York.

France was subjected to diplomatic pressure from the US which it rebuffed but the US State Department has said in a leaked memo that this Monday's conference poses a threat to the 'national security interests' of the United States...

President Emmanuel Macron reaffirmed his intention to recognize Palestine following a conversation with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas on Friday.

But France is being compliant with Israel when it comes to Iran President Macron now saying 'snapback' sanctions on Iran will come into force at the end of this month.

That in spite of a deal recently signed between the International Atomic Energy Agency and Iran to allow inspections of its nuclear facilities.

The willingness of France, the UK and Germany the so-called "E3" nations to go forward with Iranian sanctions points to the tightening of the screws on Iran.

The sanctions decision coming ahead what might become open conflict with the US, Israel and or other nations possibly Pakistan which the US has been wooing in recent months.

Mr. Macron made his comments on Iran in conjunction with an interview conducted by Israel's Channel 12 in which he slammed Israel's military escalation in Gaza seeking conquest of densely populated Gaza City.

 Macron said in part:

"You are causing so many civilian deaths and casualties, that you are completely destroying Israel's image and credibility not only in the region but in public opinion everywhere"

Macron said the best way to isolate Hamas is to recognize Palestine as a sovereign state.

He said he was offended by Benjamin Netanyahu's reaction to France's decision on Palestinian state recognition that linked it to supporting Hamas among other things...
