Tens of thousands rallying in Tel Aviv on Saturday night opposing efforts by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to fire Israel's Shin Bet domestic security chief Ronen Bar and Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara.


The Israeli Supreme Court issued an injunction Friday against the firing of Mr. Bar and Opposition Leader Yair Lapid said there should be a tax revolt and general strike in Israel if Mr. Netanyahu defies that order.


Mr. Lapid saying that Mr. Netanyahu is openly trying to incite a civil war in Israel.    In part he said "we will not let them destroy the country.  They will use the word 'unity' to silence us.  It will not work for them"...Times of Israel...



Speaking at the same rally the leader of the recently formed Democrats who encompass the most left-wing Jewish parties Yair Golan.


Mr. Golan saying any government that refuses a High Court order "is illegal and dangerous".   He also said in part:
