In the aftermath of 10/7 a lot of talk of eliminating Hamas just like Al Qaeda was "eliminated" after 9/11.

The TV news crews were there and I watched the news on KYW-TV 3 wow was I impressed with a group of great anchors Mort Crim (the "inspiration" for Ron Burgundy) and Vince Leonard.
Al Meltzer with sports and Bill Kuster (you saw him in Denver for so many years) doing the weather.
And then there was Jessica Savitch a serious masculine delivery of the news as I saw it. I could lust after Barbara Walters but this woman did not lead me in that direction.
Society was changing and Jessica Savitch was on the way up in television news she ended up at NBC News.
Unfortunately back then there were drug related issues the folks at KYW-TV experienced outbursts of anger and the injury causing fights with her then boyfriend.
Jessica lost her father when she was young but found something she enjoyed as a teenager namely radio working at WOND in Pleasantville (Atlantic City). By the time she went to Ithaca College in New York Jessica worked weekends at WBBF in Rochester...

Jessica Savitch was a woman lusted after by many men who watched her on television she drew an audience to NBC they put her on Prime Time doing the short news updates.
But Jessica was not in the Rupert Moloch-Roger Ailes mold of female news anchors she didn't display breasts and legs.
When David Letterman had her on his show she discussed how she taped her legs together on occasions when she appeared on an "open set" it's at 1:30 into the video.
