YELLOW VESTS MARCH IN PARIS OCTOBER 21, 2023
"A period of decency"
The expression used by French President Emmanuel Macron to justify the blanket ban on Pro-Palestinian protests in France imposed on Thursday October 12th by Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin.
That ban reversed last Wednesday by France's Council of State which acts in part as the nation's Supreme Court.
The ruling saying that local prefects of police have discretion to allow such protests if they are not deemed a threat to public safety.

There have been plenty of bomb threats in France this week aimed at airports forcing evacuations but no bombs found and no explosions.
President Macron's government again invoking Article 49.3 of the Constitution to force legislation through the National Assembly on Wednesday.
This time it was a budget bill challenged by the opposition with some 5200 amendments.
On Friday night motions of censure brought by the Left and the National Rally against the government but failing to gain a majority of votes as the Mainstream Right Les Republicans continued to offer support to Emmanuel Macron's government.

Protesters gathering and writing their messages on cardboard. Today's procession led by drums. There were several white flags with the Dove of Peace on them.
Plenty of singing during today's procession was well.
One song sung by the Yellow Vests has the name "Macron" in it.
Today's demonstration involving just a few hundred people a far cry from the early days of the Yellow Vests.
Late in the afternoon "Mrs Noway Never" on You Tube posting a second video of today's demonstration as it continued through the streets of Paris...

Around 230 pm this afternoon another protest a static event speakers on a pavilion in a Paris park.
French flags displayed including one adorned with the letters:
"RIC"
translated:
"Citizen's Initiative Referendum"
repeating the call since the beginning of the Yellow Vests protests for the people to be able to initiate referenda to deal with issues of concern.
"Together We Are Stronger"
the banner fronting the pavilion where those speakers gave their speeches...
In northern France in Lille today a traffic circle Yellow Vests protest in the tradition of the early days of the movement.
But the signs displayed today carry the contemporary theme of Macron as a dictator even giving him the Hitler moustache images of the Nazi occupation of France also presented in this video.

This weekend the French government is calling for a "humanitarian truce" so aid can be sent into Gaza as the Israeli aerial assault continues.
Another story hyped by mainstream media today a 17-year-old student of Syrian origin arrested Friday accused of trying to smuggle hydrochloric acid out of a vocational high school in Petit-Quevilly in the Seine-Maritime Region northwest of Paris.
For now that's the story of France and the Yellow Vests.
