Ammon Bundy release video

BUNKERVILLE STANDOFF:  AMMON BUNDY WALKS OUT OF JAIL TO HOME DETENTION FOR THE REST OF THE TRIAL, RYAN PAYNE NEEDS OREGON FEDERAL JUDGE'S OKAY TO BE RELEASED, CLIVEN BUNDY DECIDED TO STAY IN JAIL

".......A little bit more liberty but we got a long way to go...."

Ryan Bundy speaking awaiting his brothers release in Las Vegas 11/30/2017

Happy scenes at the federal courthouse in Las Vegas today as Ammon Bundy was released to home detention under the order of US District Judge Gloria M. Navarro.

Hugs from family, friends, supporters.gathered inside and outside the building.

Ammon Bundy spoke with reporters outside the building.   He said it is the duty of Americans to 'stand up for their rights' when the government makes mistakes.

Bundy also said the government's case against him and the other defendants is in trouble and that Judge Navarro has seen that leading to his release.

"We've known that always was going to be the case, so we suffered for two years",  he told the media.

A RELEASE HEARING FOR RYAN PAYNE WILL BE HELD IN PORTLAND TOMORROW AT 3pm  (FRIDAY DECEMBER 1st ).     US DISTRICT ANNA J.BROWN WILL DECIDE IF PAYNE, WHO PLED GUILTY IN CONNECTION WITH THE OREGON STANDOFF PROTEST LAST YEAR, SHOULD BE ALLOWED RELEASE ON HOME DETENTION DURING THE BUNKERVILLE STANDOFF TRIAL.

WHILE JUDGE NAVARRO HAS RULED TO RELEASE RYAN PAYNE, JUDGE BROWN HAS TO DECIDE IF SHE AGREES WITH THAT.   WORD FROM PORTLAND IS THAT FEDERAL PROSECUTORS WANT PAYNE TO SERVE A 41 MONTH SENTENCE FOR HIS INVOLVEMENT IN THE OREGON STANDOFF, BUT JUDGE BROWN HAS CONSISTENTLY HANDED OUT LESSER SENTENCES THAN THE PROSECUTORS WANTED.

And finally, Cliven Bundy has opted to remain in jail because there are others still jailed without bail for nearly two years in connection with the Bunkerville Standoff including his sons Mel and Dave Bundy.

Cliven's decision to stay in jail and show up in court in his prison uniform reminds us that justice has not yet come in this matter.     As Johnny Cash sang almost 50 years ago "till things are brighter, I'm the man in black".

His wife Carol stated in a video posted some months ago that it is within the power of Republican officials in Washington like Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke to drop the charges against the defendants.

Will those men choose to exercise that power?

    1. He is out of jail right now on a plea deal reached right before the third trial began. He has a sentencing date next year.
