The Presidential Election year budget in France to be considered in the coming months with opinion polling this week pushing the notion of public support for cutting spending.
The opinion poll conducted by the government itself with 40 percent of respondents speaking of France's current financial situation as 'very worrying'. That is up five percent from January.

One question that the government asked in the opinion polling led to 77 percent of respondents saying they support 'targeted and difficult' budget cuts.
The question was framed to give those answering the question the notion if those cuts were not implemented more 'drastic general measures' would be needed in the future...
