NEWS SUMMARY-INTELLIGENCE REPORT MONDAY 11/5/2018

(UPDATES, EXPANSION, EDITING POSSIBLE UNTIL 7AM)

President Trump rallying massive crowds in Macon, Georgia and Chattanooga, Tennessee Sunday ahead of the mid-term elections.

Trump warned against:

"radical Democrats taking a wrecking ball to our economy".

Georgia becoming a political battlefield in the race for governor between Democrat Stacey Abrams and Republican Brian Kemp.

A federal judge even got involved Friday ruling against a state law designed to prevent voter fraud.

The Republicans are planning a final rally tonight in Cape Girardeau, Missouri with talk show host Rush Limbaugh coming back to his hometown along with another big name in talk radio, Shawn Hannity.  They will join the President at the rally.

A very interesting political development in the UK over the weekend with Friday's revelation by London's top cop of a criminal investigation involving members of the Labor Party.

Metropolitan Police Commissioner Cressida Dick says its a hate crime probe involving social media posts considered anti-Semitic.  She claims it isn't an investigation of the Labor Party.

But police are ultimately controlled by the government of the ruling Conservative Party and the Home Secretary Sajid Javid.

The investigation would put the Labor Party in a bad light as Prime Minister Theresa May tries to whip Conservatives into supporting a Brexit plan that is called "BRexit In Name Only" by actvists who fought for the winning YES-LEAVE side in the Brexit referendum.

May and her Tory machine including the big newspapers are already spreading the notion of an extremist Labor Party win.      That's to scare MP's and grassroots Conservatives opposed to her Brexit plan into accepting her agenda or facing the downfall of the government and new elections that Labor could win.

In Germany politicians in the government parties, the Christian Democrats and Social Democrats, are calling for the government's domestic intelligence agency to monitor the anti-mass immigration Alternative for Germany party.

In some German states local internal intelligence agencies are already monitoring the youth wing of the AfD.

In Japan, the party of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe wants to import foreign workers.  The Liberal Democratic Party is proposing a "Foreign Workers Bill" saying there is a labor shortage in Japan.

Opponents say that the bill doesn't take into consideration housing, social security benefits and teaching foreigners who come to work in the country the Japanese language.

The leader of the nation between Russia and Poland says plans that envision a new US base in Poland will force it to create a base in his country.

President Alexander Lukashenko says Belarus and Russia will have to respond in kind if the base plans go forward.  Lukashenko is also urging Western nations not to impose sanctions on his country as has been done to Russia.

The people of New Caledonia, Pacific islands northeast of Australia, voted against independence from France on Sunday.     56.4 percent chose to remain with France while 43.6 percent supported independence.

The election was held as promised in a 1988 deal to end a violent campaign for independence.

France's President Emmanuel Macron said the voted showed "confidence" in France.   It was a closer vote than expected.

Chinese President Xi Jinping is promising to cut tariffs on imports.   President Xi spoke at a trade expo in Shanghai.

China and the US have been at odds over trade but President Trump recently tweeted that he and Xi had a positive conversation over the phone.

The two leaders will be at the same location later this month when the G 20 leaders meet in Buenos Aires, Argentina on November 30th.

The leaders of two nations long sanctioned by the United States met Sunday.

Cuba's President Miguel Diaz-Canel arrived in North Korea for a visit from that country ruler, Kim Jong-un.

The new sanctions against Iran are in force today but some nations, eight in total, have waivers on those sanctions.

Nations that buy oil from Iran like South Korea, Japan and India are involved and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says its possible that the 180 day waivers may be extended if needed.   He explains that some nations need more time to get to "zero" in their dealings with Iran.

Iran's President Hassan Rouhani spoke at a meeting of economic officials and said:

"We will proudly break the sanctions"

He also said his country is in a circumstance of:

"economic war"

And an update on that migrant caravan in Mexico.   Some of them have taken the bus and arrived in Mexico City.  They are still a considerable distance from the US border and are currently living in a stadium.
