NEXTRUSH UNPLUGGED: SATURDAY NIGHT VERSION

Music Links:

Hello, vacation is continuing and we have been out enjoying vacation and hitting the road in the heartland today.

Watching with some detachment what many are obsessing with in recent hours.

Its late, but we will continue into the early morning hours Sunday Eastern Time.

I guess I'll start the talking with the note that I believe in Constitutional and limited government.

I was reading in a museum I visited an exhibit stating the notion that for some people a "government of the people" was taken to mean a government "of the people" and not government of government structures as in the federal government structure.

Constitutional government of the people is not happening in this country unless its folks like those in Nebraska who said we will not bow to the government in the licensing of schools in our churches.

That stand in the late 1970's and early 1980's led to the Democrat Governor Bob Kerrey and the Republican President Ronald Reagan....

(IF DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. CAN BE HONORED AFTER HAVING ALL THOSE ORGIES WITH THE PROSTITUTES LIKE HE DID AND I HONOR THAT MAN THEN I SAY LET US HONOR RONALD WILSON REAGAN AND NOT GET HUNG UP OVER ANY COMMENTS ABOUT 'MONKEYS')

to act in their own ways to open the door to freedom for Christian schools in Nebraska.

Cliven Bundy would follow in the footsteps of  Reverend Everett Sileven Ramsey in Nebraska by asserting that the federal government does not control the land from Washington DC.

He still has his cattle grazing on land that he had not signed any "lease" agreements with the federal government on because the federal government does not own the land.

The Bundy's stood up for the Hammonds being jailed as terrorists for lighting a backfire to protect their land and accidentally burning 'federal land'.

They brought the Hammond's case to the world's attention forcing the GOP Establishment to do something and setting the stage for President Trump's pardon last year of Dwight and Steven Hammond.

The Hammonds were quickly given leasing options to graze on  'federal lands' out there in Harney Country, Oregon.

But now environmentalists have them tied up in federal court with a federal judge severely restricting their ability to graze on the lands with his partial injunction pending a full hearing on the matter.

Of course the Hammonds could have just put their cattle out onto the land without getting into the mess of "lease agreements" to use "federal lands" like Mr. Bundy did.

LaVoy Finicum gave his life to help the Hammonds and others went to jail, paid fines but the leaders of the protest were all acquitted by a jury of their peers.

The leader of that prosecution  of the Oregon Stanoff protesters none other than the man appointed by the Obama Administration as US Attorney in Oregon, Billy Williams.

But here comes the astonishing followup to that story.

Billy Williams ended up being appointed the US Attorney for Oregon by the Trump Administration.

Wasn't Donald Trump supposed to change things???????

Well Billy Williams is making noises about the notion of violence in Portland between those opposed to the Antifa and the Antifa in two weeks on August 17th, something he is calling:

"political violence"

Thousands protesting for freedom for Tommy Robinson in London Saturday taking the route Edward R. Murrow used to take when he reported on World War II because Murrow lived right there around Oxford Circus where today's march began and Murrow would walk to the BBC building to do his broadcasts.

Today's protest ended at the new massive BBC structure erected on Portland Place that incorporates the old with a big new addition.

Here's a post on that from Tommy's spokesman Danny Tommo via Twitter

In France the Yellow Vests protests Saturday taking on a new tenor in the midst of France's summer slowdown.   The death of "Steve" has morphed from the "Where is Steve?" campaign following his disappearance after a police attack on a music festival in Nantes to the "Justice for Steve" campaign after his body was pulled from the Loire River earlier in the week.

Well as we move towards the "Big Story" and a take on it, lets remember that Hong Kong is a scene of protest through Monday and tear gas already used there by police.

Is the Chinese regime ready to up the ante with military power in Hong Kong?   They released a video of Chinese soldiers in Hong Kong fighting protesters in a training exercise.

Many arrested in Moscow again this weekend.    Some 800 people in a protest banned by the authorities.   The protesters demanding that opposition candidates be on the ballot for local elections in the city.

The government claiming they did not get enough valid signatures for those candidates on nominating petitions.

The process can be manipulated like the Republicans in Pennsylvania did with the Republican US Senate Primary in 2016.   Senator Pat Toomey was able to run without a conservative challenger in his primary by the manipulation of the signature process in the nominating petitions.   Normally ten counties of the 67 you would need to get signatures.

But they changed the rules just for US Senate to say signatures from 67 counties were needed.

How convenient.

The Brexit thing and Boris Johnson.     Johnson is manipulating using No Deal Brexit not as an end game but as a threat to get the EU to reopen talks.    Johnson has already talked about close long-term ties to Europe down the road so watch out for a new sellout.

'CAUGHT IN AN UNGUARDED MOMENT'-THE SEVENTY SEVENS

Yes indeed, the insanity has come again and the usual nonsense follows in its wake.

A "hate crime" is mentioned  or  a:

"hateful act"

as President Trump characterized the insanity in his late night tweet after 12 Midnight Eastern Time.

How about:

"domestic terrorism"

More government, less freedom, watch out........

I have worked for the last 20 years in places where this kind of thing could happen and where this kind of thing has happened and if it did happen in my presence I would never get into any of the above language to describe it.

The horrible event in El Paso is about the lack of sanity and sobriety out there.

We need sane and sober responses to problems out there from people seeking peace like the Bundy's who have strong beliefs but don't resort to violence to express those beliefs against a corrupt political system.

They don't write a "manifesto" and get a firearm and kill and injure people.

If I have to lose my life in an incident like this I hope that I face it with sanity and sobriety in my life.

A guy I knew had just done his 90 meetings in 90 days and was sober when he fell down a flight of stairs and passed away.

And LaVoy Finicum appeared to me to be that kind of man when he was gunned down in Oregon back in January 2016.

Get sober, get sane.    Talk to your Higher Power and surrender.  Work the 12 steps.   That's my experience.

God Bless You and Good Night.
