'SOMEBODY TO LOVE'-JEFFERSON AIRPLANE (LIVE AT WOODSTOCK 1969)

There is the live performance from Woodstock in 1969 from Jefferson Airplane and "Somebody to Love"

Its August 2019 50 years since Woodstock in August 1969 and more memories of that coming in later posts.

Welcome aboard we'll start with a picture of how the real world operates with Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Arabs.   The Saudi nation of Al Qaeda and their allies demand action against Iran.    The United States and United Kingdom have answered the call in their own ways but another nation wants credit for being part of all this.

I read this story in the Israeli media and "Southfront" published it as well.

Israel's Foreign Minister saying intelligence and other support being provided for "maritime security" in the Persian Gulf.   Israel Katz making that statement

The UK and the US already working together as in seizing the Iranian oil tanker off Gibraltar which caused Iranian retaliation involving oil tanker seizure and has led to this "maritime security" operation being rolled out.

The story from "Southfront".....LINK

The Saudi-US-UK-Israel connections extended into Syria where all have played some role in hostility to Iran's ally Bashar al-Assad and his government.    The civil war and its consequences since 2011 include the Islamic State which came out of the original Saudi backed jihadists fighting the Syrian government certainly lie in big and little ways with these nations.

I mince no words here to include all the atrocities, rapes etc. etc. of the various elements including the Islamic State do go back to the nations I just mentioned and other nations as well.

Israel's "Haaretz" saying the fight against ISIS is threatened by Turkish intervention in northeastern Syria which its ruler Recep Tayyip Erdogan keeps saying is on the way.

The US using Kurdish elements in Syria in its agenda with other allied nations including some previously mentioned.    Turks see Kurds as the enemy and as terrorists.  Erdogan depends on Turkish nationalists to build his ruling coalition.

He's pushing the notion that the Turkish ground offensive is coming but as "Haaretz" points out this risks a confrontation with the US.    The link below.

The US has irritated Turkey by sanctioning it over the purchase of the Russian S-400 air defense system cutting Turkey out of the F-35 program and Turkey has promised to respond.

BREAKING NEWS

According to Turkey's Yeni Safak which is a pro-government media outlet an understanding has been reached with the United States on a "safe zone" in northeastern Syria......YENI SAFAK ON US-TURKISH AGREEMENT

We're coming at you in the summer mode looking ahead to the future and posting will continue to change as we move into the fall and work schedules adjust.

Up early with the "Unplugged" post today and talking about the Turkish-US agreement on a zone in northeastern Syria will it end up like the Turkish-Russian zone in northwestern Syria, not working too well in terms of peace?

We shall see.....

Economic news the price of gasoline declining six a gallon here in Central PA where I am today.

Around the world central banks lowering interest rates with President Trump tweeting about that Wednesday morning and telling the Federal Reserve Board its behind the curve on lowering the rate here in the USA.

President Trump travelling to the cities impacted by mass murder today with Nicolle Wallace getting nasty in her comments claiming President Trump is:

"talking about exterminating Latinos"

A little walk back from her following those comments on MSNBC but not much.    She hates Trump just like she hated Sarah Palin and so on during her career in political management with W Bush, McCain and now as a commentator in the media.

There just seems to be a lot of hypocrisy from folks peddling the word:

HATE

nowadays but my anger isn't going to change that.  Need to move on.

Just need to add something positive to the picture and I think it was positive to show up and do a cleanup in Baltimore last Saturday.   Nothing wrong with that but since a Trump supporter organized it the event needed to be denounced.

The old expression from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police was that we "always get our man".

The two most wanted men in Canada are believed dead right now their bodies found in a remote area.

The story's been going on for weeks.

CHINA MAKES ITS MOVE ON CURRENCY

Its been more than expected but now its official that China has watered down the value of its currency versus the US dollar to retaliate against President Trump's plans for new tariffs on September 1st.

President Trump wants to use all means to fight the trade fight with China so the "brinksmanship" as they called it in the days of President Dwight Eisenhower and Secretary of State John Foster Dulles will continue.

The President wants the Fed to open the floodgates with lower interest rates for US dollars.

'WOODSTOCK'-CROSBY, STILLS AND NASH

And there it is the "Woodstock" song  with some film of the preparations and the arrival of the crowd 50 years ago this month Woodstock was gearing up and yes it was something big.   The crowds jammed the highways and the story was on the radio about the massive crowds in upstate New York attending it is what I recall as a child.

The President and the media doing their stuff about today's visits and you can consider it and decide for yourself what the truth is because what I will be looking for in the end is erosion of the Second Amendment.

The First Amendment is also taking a beating.

The President sent an official representative to the trial in Sweden last week of rapper A$AP Rocky, who ended up being freed by the judge before the verdict later this month.   A$AP is a friend of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.    And those two are friends of the President.

Too many people in America's jails and today the agenda of Kim Kardashian being fulfilled through the new law passed by Congress and signed by President Trump in the name of "criminal justice reform" dealing with drug offenders in the federal prison system.

A bid to increase African-American support?

Its always been a dream of the GOP to get things back to the good old days when in places where African-Americans could vote like Philly or Chicago they would vote Republican.    We are talking pre-1930's America.

But Cliven Bundy said there are a lot of good, intelligent people in prison that he met during his imprisonment in Nevada.   He wondered why they were there like him being prosecuted and persecuted?

I used to be sucked into that "law and order" stuff myself.

So we got a "bump stock ban" from the POTUS after the Las Vegas mass murder in 2017 so he better watch out about any new restrictions on the "right to keep and bear arms" in this country.

Back to here and now you can read the "New York Times" about Cyntoia Brown being released from prison, granted clemency by Tennessee's governor......LINK

Puerto Rico ends up with its third governor, wow.   The Supreme Court there ruling that the replacement for Ricardo Rossello was not able to serve.

Pedro Pierluisi was ruled to be unable to serve because the Senate did not confirm him.

So now Justice Secretary Wanda Vazquez sworn in as the governor in Puerto Rico.

We go to Central Asia and Kyrgyzstan where troops stormed the home of a once powerful ex-president to arrest him.

The report from the BBC is that the assault on the home of Almazbek Atambayev's home was thwarted by his supporters with one of the attacking soldiers killed.  Dozens reported injured.

This is the "Ruptly" video of the aftermath with the ex-president's supporters lighting fires, setting up barricades. celebrating and the Mr. Atambayev's message of "Don't shoot your own people"....LINK

I just saw an alert from "Haaretz" in Israel that a soldier was found dead Thursday morning with stab wounds.

Also the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected to address the country in the coming hours of Thursday regarding Kashmir.   Go to the NDTV English link to follow the Kashmir story as it unfolds.    That link towards the top of this post.

Good Night and God Bless.

Hope you find sanity and sobriety in your lives.

And since we've done Woodstock music here why not end with what might call the opposite of the Woodstock sound in 1969 and Lawrence Welk's farewell tune.....
