(LIMITED SERVICE THROUGH LATE WEDNESDAY WHEN ABLE)

The British Prime Minister Boris Johnson asked the Queen for a suspension of parliament ahead of the Brexit deadline of October 31st.    It is to begin between September 9th and 12th.    Her Majesty has approved his plan.

The proroguing of parliament will be followed with a speech to parliament by the Queen on October 14th laying out what he calls a "very exciting agenda".

Johnson denies he is trying to force through a 'No-Deal' Brexit as he pursues talks with the European Union on a new deal for British withdrawal from the EU.

Opponents of Brexit in the House of Commons believe the move may lead to a vote of no-confidence in Johnson's government.
