Israeli "DEBKAfile" report 7/3/2018

The propaganda war is certainly on in Syria with the notion of Iranian involvement being broached by the Israeli website "DEBKAfile" after "big" and  "mysterious" explosions at an ammo dump south of Damascus today.

Russia announced ahead of the current offensive Iranian disengagement from the area and Syria presented a list of only Syrian units participating in the attacks.

Israel uses the notion of Iranian involvement in Syria to justify its persistent military operations there.

Jihadist forces fighting the Syrian government have stiffened their resistance around the town of Tafas, northwest of Deraa city.  "Moderate" forces there united with an ISIS affiliated group to fight on with Syrian government forces calling in Russian and Syrian air support during the fighting.

"Southfront" reports a slowdown in Syrian military operations while negotiations are going on get reconciliation agreements for numerous villages and towns around Deraa city.

Reuters quotes Jordanian sources saying that Russian officers are talking with the rebels.

Its also reported that the UN is asking Jordan to take in refugees at its border.
