BREAKING NEWS:  POLICE SAY COUPLE POISONED BY 'NOVICHOK'  NEAR RUSSIAN COUPLE INCIDENT, THREAT TO TRUMP

"A man and a woman found unconscious in Wiltshire were poisoned by Novichok-the same nerve agent that poisoned ex-Russian spy Sergei Skripal, police say"

BBC News story published at around 6pm Eastern-2300 British Summer Time 7/4/2018

Last Saturday in Amesbury, England Charlie Rowley and Dawn Sturgess became ill and went unconscious.  Soon workers in hazmat suits were in the area.   At first police thought it might be a drug related incident.

First media reports appeared this morning with the words "mysterious substance" attached to what caused the pair to go unconscious.

But late tonight in the UK "Novichok" was identified as the cause.

Rowley and Sturgess are reported to be in critical condition.

This incident is around ten miles from where Sergei and Yulia Skripal were found unconscious earlier this year in an incident that was blamed on Russia.

Both incidents happened within miles of the British chemical weapons facility at Porton Down, which is located in between the sites of the two incidents.

Police tonight are telling the public they should not pick up things they aren't sure of.

(ONE UPDATE:  The British government was successful last week in getting the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons to apportion blame for chemical attacks)

(SECOND UPDATE:  Sensational headlines appearing on media websites-newspapers that support the British government-Conservative Party like the "Daily Mail","The Telegraph","The Times" etc.
"Times" headline: "Couple Poisoned By Russian Nerve Agent Novichok")

(COMMENTARY)

Is this the incident designed to hurt Russia during the World Cup of soccer currently taking place there?

Expectations were that such an incident was coming, just like the coup against a pro-Russian government in the Ukraine materialized during the Sochi Winter Olympics in Russia in 2014.

With President Trump set to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in days and the knowledge that someone associated with British intelligence (Christopher Steele) circulated information about Trump and Russia during the 2016 election campaign,  suspicions should be aroused.

Against Russia, No.

How about the dubious government of the UK which faces a crucial Brexit meeting of cabinet ministers Friday which may destroy Brexit to mean no real withdrawal from the EU next year, a dubious government that fines and jails its own people as 'hate criminals", a dubious government that covers up sexual abuse of children if it involves Muslim minorities and jails people like Tommy Robinson who live stream video outside trials, when they happen, of those accused of such crimes.

And yes, this same dubious government that this week was reported banning President Trump from meeting "Mr. Brexit" Nigel Farage when he visits the UK on Friday the 13th of July.

And getting back to the UK subject, Mr. Steele, weren't his activities more likely an example of the real foreign interference in this country's presidential election in 2016.

This whole incident appears to threaten the ability of President Trump to do his job the way he wants to do it by disrupting his ability to meet with Vladimir Putin to talk over differences set for Helsinki, Finland on July 16th.

I am a bit more suspicious of the British government interfering in the US government tonight than the Russian one.
