OREGON STANDOFF: SENTENCING FOR DARRYL THORN

For those who weren't the leaders of the Oregon Standoff  found not guilty in the first trial, those who entered guilty pleas or were tried in the second rigged trial, there have been penalties imposed by federal courts.

Today Darryl Thorn, one of those convicted in the second rigged trial, received an 18 month sentence from US District Anna J. Brown.

The sentence handed down was less than the recommended guidelines but Judge Brown says she took into account Thorn's family background and mental health issues, among other things.  She said her sentence was in no way a justification of his participation in the protest.

For the prosecution, Assistant US Attorney Ethan Knight argued for a 27 month sentence, citing among other things Thorn's membership in "3 Percent militia".

Thorn's lawyer had argued for supervised release.

One of Thorn's co-defendants, Duane Ehmer, sentenced to a year and a day in jail last week by Judge Brown, was outside the courthouse riding his horse and holding an American flag.

Thorn was freed after his arrest last year and went to a Donald Trump rally in Spokane, Washington with Nathan Seim, whose brother Gavin facilitated two live video streams at the end of the Oregon Standoff protest.

The two men tried to get the candidate's attention about the Oregon Standoff, but the crowd wrongly believed them to be left wing Never Trumpers and convinced then candidate Donald Trump as well.

They were removed from the rally.

President Donald Trump can do something about the Oregon Standoff by pardoning those convicted in the rigged process and more than that, he can pardon Oregon ranchers Dwight and Steven Hammond.    The Hammonds are serving a mandatory five year sentence as terrorists for lighting a backfire to protect their land.

The Oregon Standoff protest was called on behalf of the Hammonds.
