BUNKERVILLE STANDOFF:    PROSEUCTION AND DEFENSE IN CLOSED SESSION, THEN JUDGE RULES TO HOLD AMMON, RELEASE RYAN BUNDY

Late today,  US District Judge Gloria M. Navarro decided to keep Ammon Bundy in jail but reversed her decision last week releasing Ryan Bundy to a halfway house.   Ryan Bundy will defend himself during the trial.

The trial begins tomorrow (Tuesday November 14th).

Maxine Bernstein of "Oregon Live" tweets that the government apparently made "misrepresentations" at last week's detention hearing.

Trial observer John Lamb was more straight to the point, saying that the government "lied" to Judge Navarro causing her change about his release.   One of the lies they told was a written claim by federal marshals that foul language had been used by Ryan Bundy.

In another tweet,  Bernstein said "odd that Judge Navarro didn't explain her decision now to release Ryan Bundy.....just said it as an aside".

Ryan Bundy was released from custody at the federal courthouse as sunset arrived  in Las Vegas and was hugged by family members.  He then left enroute to a halfway house.

In open court, there was debate over the evidence between lead prosecutor Acting US Attorney Steve Myhre and defense lawyers.

Judge Navarro was in a closed session earlier today with federal prosecutors and defense attorneys discussing matters related to FBI cameras, e-mails pertaining to fired BLM agent  Dan Love, missing documents and Dan Love's missing laptop.

Judge Navarro rejected  motions to dismiss charges before the closed session began saying there is nothing to justify them.    Navarro said the government needs to review materials related to Dan Love, who led the Bureau of Land Management operations in and around Bundy Ranch.

Some emails apparently contain offensive or politically incorrect language and there is dispute over whether that language should be kept redacted or not.

Judge Navarro also said the defense can question agents who worked to Dan Love  on whether they were fearful of retaliation or influenced in writing reports.
