BUNKERVILLE STANDOFF:  FBI LIVE FEED CAM AT STANDOFF REVEALED IN EVIDENCE HEARING, NOT DISLCOSED TO DEFENSE FIRST TWO TRIALS, DEFENSE WANTS DISMISSAL

Defendant Ryan Bundy who is acting in his own defense in the third Bunkerville Standoff trial, says he was mocked by the government when he asked about a camera being used by the federal government during the standoff.

Bundy filed his motion about the camera back on August 22nd and in a written response September 5th, Acting US Attorney Steven Myhre called his motion "little more than a fantastical fishing expedition for evidence".

On July 12th US Attorney General Jeff Sessions spoke these words regarding Mr. Myrhe:

"I've got to tell you, its impressive when you have a tough case,  a controversial case and you've got the top guy leading the battle, going to court, standing up and defending the office and the principles of the law....I'm not taking sides or commenting on the case.  Just want to say that leadership requires, a lot of times, our people to step up and be accountable."

But today a National Park Service manager, Mary Hinson, revealed under questioning by Bundy that a live video feed was being used at the federal government's command trailer.  It was an FBI live camera rotating from a hill above Bundy Ranch.

Cliven Bundy's defense lawyer Bret Whipple was incredulous saying "How can there be a live feed they never disclosed"....."three and  half years, two trials and for the first time"......"how can you sit on this for three and a half years."

US District Judge Gloria Navarro rejected a defense motion to dismiss charges against the four defendants in the third trial (Cliven Bundy, Ammon Bundy, Ryan Bundy and Ryan Payne) based on the shredding of documents related to the standoff.

A jury has been selected and opening arguments are set for Tuesday morning in Las Vegas.

But the judge is allowing another motion to dismiss based on the revelation of the FBI surveillance camera live feed during the April 2014 standoff.

I wouldn't hold my breath for a positive response to any dismissal motion.
