There were many glowing tributes to the late Senator John McCain at his memorial service in Washington Saturday.

But jabs also were noted in media reports aimed at President Donald Trump.

McCain's daughter, Meghan, said in her eulogy that "America was always great" appearing to be a dissing of President Trump's "Make America Great Again" slogan.

The President posted 'MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN' in bold letters on Twitter today.

President Trump also tweeted extensively today and into the night with many of his tweets regarding the Steele Dossier.   Its a document that Senator McCain acknowledged turning over to the FBI back in December of 2016 in his autobiography published earlier this year.   

The United States has decided to end 300 million dollars in military aid to Pakistan.    The final decision is based on the Pakistanis providing a safe haven to terrorist forces opposing the US backed Afghan government.   President Trump has accused Pakistan of "lies and deceit".

Police in the Netherlands say there was a "terrorist motive" in the stabbing attack at an Amsterdam train station Friday that injured two Americans.   A 19-year old Afghan suspect was shot by police and is in custody.

The US, the UK, France and Italy are calling for an immediate end to deadly violence in Libya's capital Tripoli.

Clashes between rival militia groups there have killed at least 39 people in recent days.

Libya has been in chaos since former strongman Muammar Gaddafi was overthrown by NATO backed forces in 2011.

The coalition led by Saudi Arabia and backed by the United States has admitted "mistakes" were made in a deadly attack on a bus in Yemen.   More than 40 children died in the August 9th air attack.

There are denials coming from Iraq and Iran of a Reuters report several days ago claiming that Iranian ballistic missiles were delivered to Shiite militias in Iraq.

Syrian state media say that an explosion at the Damascus Airport overnight was caused by an electrical problem.   It was not a military attack,

President Trump is talking tough about trade with Canada.   "There is no political necessity to keep Canada in the new NAFTA deal.   If we don't make a fair deal for the US after decades of abuse.  Canada will be out" the President tweeted today.

While there's a deal with Mexico to replace NAFTA, talks with Canada failed to reach an agreement this week.

New talks are set for the coming week.

Police in Germany cracked down on street demonstrations by nationalists and left-wing counter protestors Saturday in the city of Chemnitz ordering them to disperse claiming security concerns.

The nationalists came to protest last Saturday night's murder of a 35-year old German and the injuring of two other Germans in a knife attack in the city.

A Syrian and an Iraqi are being held by authorities as the suspects.

British Prime Minister Theresa May says she does want another Brexit referendum as some are calling for the UK but wants to move forward with her Brexit plan which caused cabinet resignations of her Brexit Minister and Foreign Minister Boris Johnson earlier this summer.

May commented in an article she wrote for the pro-Conservative Party "Telegraph" newspaper.  Supporters of Brexit say her proposals are a sham Brexit.

And you might remember London's Mayor Sadiq Khan approving a Donald Trump "baby balloon" protest when the President visited the UK back in July.

Well now there's been a protest in London against crime in the city and Mayor Khan's failure to fight it using a Sadiq Khan "bikini balloon".    The balloon flew over the center of the city during a Saturday protest.
