FRANCE YELLOW VESTS WEEK 255: MACRON PROPOSES AUTONOMY FOR CORSICA, LE PEN SEES HUMILIATION IN NIGER PULLOUT, TODAY'S PROTESTS

            YELLOW VESTS GATHER TO PROTEST IN PARIS 9/30/2023




Late Wednesday evening about Midnight French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne announced that Article 49.3 of the 1958 "Fifth Republic" Constitution would be invoked for the 12th time since President Emmanuel Macron was unable to secure a majority in last year's legislative elections.


This time President Macron passing by decree legislation on public spending that brings France's budgets and spending in line with European Union standards.


A majority in the National Assembly with various objections to the bill which among other things limits any budget deficit in 2027 to three percent of France's GDP.



ON THURSDAY PRESIDENT EMMNUEL MACRON IN CORSICA THE HOMELAND OF NAPOLEON BONAPARTE PROPOSING AUTONOMY FOR THE ALWAYS RESTIVE REGION.


MACRON BROACHING IDEAS LIKE USE OF THE CORSICAN LANGUAGE IN A BID TO APPEASE NATIONALISTS WHO HAVE CONTROLLED LOCAL OFFICES ON THE ISLAND SINCE 2018.



MR. MACRON URGING THE LOCAL OFFICIALS TO WORK WITH HIM ON A DEAL TO BE ACHIEVED IN THE NEXT SIX MONTHS.



Last Sunday night Mr. Macron announced that France's ambassador and soldiers were pulling out of Niger following the recent military coup.



Marine Le Pen National Rally leader in the National Assembly and leading Presidential candidate in 2027 sees the move as one of humiliation for France.

At today's protest in Paris drums punctuating the procession a small group on the move with a banner at the front of the march.     At 2:45 into the video the camera cuts away to two demonstrators outside a garage pointing out the gasoline prices there...







Meanwhile police using tear gas in Brittany where more than one thousand demonstrators rallied in opposition to the closing of emergency services at a hospital in Carhaix for 14 hours a day....
