"A small peacekeeping group of about 200 will remain in Syria for a period of time"

The direct quote from White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders.

President Trump conveyed this news in a phone call with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

It was after a phone call with Erdogan in December that the President announced that US troops were leaving Syria,

But now they are staying with Senator Lindsay Graham saying the troops will be part of "an international stabilizing force".

CNN has been told by an anonymous US official that 100 US soldiers will stay put in southern Syria at Al-Tanf with another group of 100 remaining in northeastern Syria.

that would create a Palestinian state.

The Prime Minister cancelled a trip to Moscow Wednesday for a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin to shore up the "Right" side of Israeli politics helping the Jewish Home Party to unite various religious factions including supporters of Rabbi Meir Kahane.

In the UK this week a new political group forming from the defection of eight Labor Party MP's and three Conservative Party MP's.

The "independent group" has hard core opposition to Brexit within it plus views that seem to mirror those of French President Emmanuel Macron.

They appear to be the tip of an emerging spear set to drive through the notion of a Brexit without a negotiated deal with the European Union considered to be a sell out of British national sovereignty.

The Brexit deadline is March 29th and there appears to be threats of more defections to this group in Parliament.
