Four Russian Navy ships sighted escorting six cargo ships near Japan.  The convoy entered the East China Sea last weekend.


Russia has been stepping up its escort activities for civilian vessels following foreign seizures of Russia-linked vessels subject to Ukraine War sanctions.

Israel's parliament voting 93-0 to set up a special military court to try Palestinians who committed atrocities in the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel.

The new law also includes provision for the death penalty to be imposed.  Israel does not have a death penalty for crimes.

300 suspects are currently held awaiting trial.

Families of those victimized in the October 7th attack critical of the process saying the move ignores their demand for an independent probe of why the attack happened in the first place.
